Neilly Canvas makes flatbed tarps for owner-operators and fleets hauling steel, lumber, machinery and coils. Every tarp is made from 18 oz. vinyl, and we ship nationwide.

Steel tarps and lumber tarps are both flatbed tarps. The load decides which one you need. Most of our customers just call them truck tarps.

PGT Trucking, with about 1,000 trucks, has bought tarps from us since 1980.

Steel Tarps or Lumber Tarps: Which Do I Need?

Start with what you're hauling.

Steel tarps cover low, dense loads like steel plate, rod and pipe. They're narrower, with shorter drops.

Lumber tarps cover tall, bulky loads like lumber, building materials and equipment. They're wider, with longer drops to reach the deck.

Hauling rolled steel? A coil bag fits over the coil itself.

Steel Tarps

Our steel tarps cover steel loads with plenty of tie-down points for a tight fit. Each one has 2 or 3 rows of grommets down both sides.

Webbing and stainless steel triangle rings are available for added strength. Steel tarps last about 3 to 7 years, and we repair tarps too.

Coil Bags

Coil bags fit snugly over rolled steel coils. Grommets around the bottom secure the bag, and a row of webbing with stainless steel triangle rings around the middle keeps the load steady.

Lumber Tarps for Flatbeds

Lumber tarps cover large, bulky loads and protect them from weather and road debris. Each one has 3 rows of grommets down both sides.

Webbing and stainless steel triangle rings are available. Most lumber tarps come with a 6 foot or 8 foot drop.

Flatbed Tarp Sizes

To find the right flatbed tarp size, measure your load's length, width and height. The drop is how far the tarp hangs down each side.

Product Standard sizes Fits
Steel tarps 14′ x 20′, 14′ x 25′, up to 20′ x 25′ Low steel loads
Lumber tarps 20′ x 25′, 22′ x 25′, 24′ x 27′ About a 6′ drop (20′ wide) up to an 8′ drop (24′ wide) on a standard deck

Send us your load size and we'll match it to a standard tarp or make one to order.
